BREAKDOWN DUE TO STRESS

I am telling you about one of the best companions I ever had - an old and supposed-to-be white Scooty!(I am too lazy to clean it) Well, it's a 1998 model. So I call it old! It was in good condition till it got a new rider in April 2004 - that's me!

Here are it's features - it has an awesome pickup with such a heavy rider! (sarcastically). It's maximum speed is 18 m/s! And I am not sarcastic this time. It's got good fuel efficiency - 30km/l. And riding it on the Outer Ring road comes with a free backache! (This sentence was suggested to me by a friend). It has a very good starting problem. I think I waste a lot of fuel in just getting it started.

And on the morning of 14th December 2005, I left my house as usual at 8.15 AM. Classes begin at 8.30. And I sped away with full josh! Hey wait, I suddenly felt it was gonna stop and it did! I put it on reserve! But damn! I didn't have cash to fill petrol. Else every other day I will have double the money needed for 2 litres of petrol. I thought it would go up to my college and while coming back I can put together all chillar from my purse and fill atleast half a litre. So thinking all this I moved on....

Exactly at 8.19 AM, in a small galli between BDA complex and Devegowda petrol bunk, it stopped! Lo and behold, it refused to budge... The road was steep and so I managed to reach the end of the down steep. I called up my granny and aunt. While I was talking to my aunt, wonder of wonders, I kept the scooty key in the dikki. After finishing my talk, I put the mobile also inside and shut it!!! Can anyone be so stupid? No wonder it is said 'Vinaasha kaale vipareeta buddhi'! Then I ran upto a STD booth near by, borrowed a rupee (cos everything was locked up) and called up my aunt. She said that she would be sending her helper with her scooty. Her key is like a duplicate of mine! (This shows how secure scootys are).

Then I went up to the main road and was waiting for him to come... It was a long wait. He finally arrived at 8.55. Then I took my bag, license etc etc from my scooty and stuffed it in my aunt's. He said that he would somehow take it to my aunt's house which isn't that far from the place where I was stuck up. I filled petrol in her vehicle with the money she had sent and finally reached college at 9.10. I found out that we didn't have labs and classes cos there was world year of Physics celebrations going on in college... So I decided to get back home...

The best part is this. The helper reached my aunt's house without any problem. The scooty seemed absolutely fine!!! I hate my scooty for this.. Acts too smart. It's done this once before also! Well, then I went to my aunt's house. Got my scooty home... I kept my cool cos I know that it's a good vehicle to function so well with a rider like me! Any other vehicle would have broken down long ago. What with so much of stress to reach college by 8.25 i.e in 10 mins in such a traffic! Hats off to my wonderful scooty!!! (Though I grumble a lot about it's bad condition, heart of hearts I don't hate it. After all, something is better than nothing!)

good lessons for a bad rider.:P
a credible statement. from a person who has had the rough times of sitting on the pillion of this scooty while roshini is "riding" it.
